David and Fiona - a great team.
David grew up in Kamo and loved it so much he has come back to bring up his own family. Kamo High School set him up to go to University and get his Pharmacy degree. He then went to Ireland for five years where he met his wonderful wife Jo. Now settled back in Whangarei, David is committed to offering Kamo a service that the community deserves. Recently everyone was overjoyed to welcome the arrival of a new addition to the family - the beautiful Isabella.
Fiona hails from a nursing background and has been in Pharmacy for 15 years. She has experience in a wide range of fields including Compression Stockings, Blood Pressure machines, Over The Counter Medications and a great knowledge of Natural Health, Vitamins, Minerals and Complementary Medicines. Fiona is married with two teenage boys and a Jack Russell Terrier (you've probably seen her being towed around Kamo by him!) and lives locally in Kamo.
The Pharmacy
David’s Pharmacy was originally a Mower Shop but a great idea was hatched to turn it into a pharmacy due to its great parking right outside and the ability to add a Drive-Thru window to the side of the building. Up until quite recently there were always two pharmacies in Kamo and with the burgeoning population in the area it seemed like a need we could meet. The pharmacy incorporates two private consultation rooms for pharmacist consultations or, if necessary, for customers to change and/or breastfeed their baby! We have tried to design the pharmacy to be as open and welcoming as possible with adequate seating and an area for children to play whilst being supervised by their parents. Our quick and efficient service will mean that this waiting time is as short as possible but we believe while you are in the pharmacy it should be as comfortable as possible. Our aim is to provide a friendly, professional local service, not to be become the next big pharmacy chain of Whangarei!
